Nicki Minaj Speaks On Abusive Father and Sexuality!!!

The openly bi emcee shares personal stories about her father and thinks Hip Hop will see a gay male rapper in her lifetime.

It may seem as though Nicki Minaj is all glamor, with a Barbie-inspired theme to her image. Her accented delivery and unique personality has made her one of the most talked about Rap stars of 2010, despite having never released a solo album. With a recent Fader cover-story, fans are still just getting to know the voice behind the accent, and the face behind the eyeshadow and lipstick. It has been this way since she started gaining notoriety as part of Lil Wayne's Young Money crew. But, recently Minaj opened up to Details magazine about life before the stardom, of the violent scenes her father once caused and of her bi-sexuality, speaking on homophobia in Hip Hop.

"I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so Hip Hop is too. But it's harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we'll see one in my lifetime," she told the magazine, admitting that she is openly bi-sexual.

She later went on to speak about her father's abusive nature, detailing one story where she was relieved that her mother escaped from their home, after her dad set it on fire.
"He drank a lot and did drugs, and he would get violent when he did. When he set fire to the house, he was attempting to kill my mother. She got out before it burned all the way down. I've always had this female-empowerment thing in the back of my mind—because I wanted my mother to be stronger, and she couldn't be. I thought, 'If I'm successful, I can change her life.'"

Justin Bieber had a very big VMA night. He made it rain streamers, rode in a sick old Caddy, and demolished a set of drums (figuratively speaking) during his VMA performance. He hit the white carpet with Usher and stunted the whole way down. And he clearly got lucky, winning the Best New Artist VMA (watch video of Justin Bieber's VMA Best New Artist win below).

But Justin Bieber's luck didn't stop there. Justin Bieber got lucky with some ladies too, as evidenced by this Katy Perry/Justin Bieber/ Rihanna triple-decker kissy sandwich. (Note: this photo is also hilarious, as it looks like Justin Bieber's head is floating on a string. Kinda like a Bieber balloon.)

But no sooner had he shared a three-way kiss with Rihanna and Katy Perry than he did a heel turn and totally cheated on both of them with Nicki Minaj! YES WAY.

What a player. It's all good though, because in the end, it looks like Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry chose each other over Bieber. Sorry, Justin!

Word has it that Lil Wayne just put in a call from the Big House to Toya and yanked his daughter Reginae Carter slam out of the girl group the OMG Girlz. Now why would Weezy do such a thing. Well our sources tell us that Lil Wayne is uneasy (jealous) about all of the attention that T.I. is now giving the group since his release. Apparently T.I. is shopping the girl group to labels and trying to really push to get them on. I mean isn’t that what a proud father should do, it’s outstanding that T.I. wants to encourgae and further the young group by utilizing his knowledge and contacts to help them advance. It’s hard enough to make it in this industry with out your daddy c*ck-blocking you. SMH does this mean that we should expect the two rappers to be on a song together now.
